Charity fundraising plays a vital role in supporting various causes, and one effective way to contribute is through estate services. By donating unwanted items to an op shop or secondhand store, you not only declutter your home but also help raise funds for those in need. Every donation counts, and your unwanted items can make a significant difference in the community.

welcome to horses for swannes

Turning your unwanted items into support for local communities is easy with Horses for Swannes. We specialize in charity fundraising by collecting donated goods from across New Zealand — absolutely free. These items are sold in our secondhand store to raise funds for charities, schools, churches, and community groups, with a portion of every sale going directly to the organization of your choice.

With collection stables in Auckland and Christchurch, and our estate services that allow us to travel nationwide for larger pickups, we make it simple for you to give back while de-cluttering your home or business through unwanted items donation.

Items We’re Happy to Collect:

At our op shop, we accept a variety of items for charity fundraising, including clean and functional furniture. We also welcome whiteware and appliances that are in working condition, along with electronics that either work or have resale/parts value. If you have unwanted items, consider donating clothing and footwear that are clean and wearable. Our secondhand store also features books, DVDs, and vinyl records, as well as tools and gardening equipment. Antiques and collectibles are prized donations, along with home décor, mirrors, and frames. We accept kitchenware and outdoor furniture, as well as sporting goods and musical instruments. Additionally, if you're looking for estate services, we can help with the contents of estates to ensure that valuable items are reused and loved.

Items We Can’t Collect:

When considering unwanted items donation for charity fundraising, please note that we cannot accept broken or heavily damaged items. Additionally, mouldy, damp, or excessively dirty goods are not suitable for our estate services. Items that require professional disassembly, such as built-in cabinetry, along with hazardous materials like chemicals and paints, cannot be accepted. Furthermore, mattresses or beds that have stains or damage, CRT TVs, and non-flat screen monitors, as well as gas bottles and car parts or tyres, are excluded from donations to our op shop or secondhand store.
